Read it in one go - the story moves with a good pace, not too violent, the outcome was unexpected (in hindsight, as always - should have seen it, the clues were all there!). Police procedure is clear and logical and there is a nice team of detectives, whose work doesn`t suffer from serious drinking problems or personal issues.And I really like the atmosphere of the series, it feels like reality. A book you can believe.So, five stars from me. Excellently crafted , characters developing as we learn more about them . I enjoy this series , read in order , as good thrillers but especially for the spirit of place .I grew up in Norwich so new the coast well .
